From the West Side of the State

Hey! I love this. I had hoped this was what might happen, everyone providing updates of family events and such. Here is a run down of mine whether you are interested or not....
I just spent lunch with Brian at Best Buy buying a laptop. BTW, I have been told for five years that there was no reason to have a computer at home since I have one at work and Brian has one at work. Since Brian decided he now needs one at home, we can now buy one. Anyway, it was excruciating! He was completely surprised by the cost although I had told him that the actual computer was just the beginning and all of the software would quickly add up. He actually asked me if I could live without Microsoft Office for a while although he had a program ready to buy in his hot little hands.
On the home front, Brian and I have become master architects, Lincoln Logs being our specialty. We have been trying to limit the amount of TV and since we much see much less Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go (yes, Sara, I know you have a problem with those children running around the jungle unsupervised) we must provide constant entertainment for "Teaton Miemeyer." That being said, the TV rarely comes on at our house so I cannot talk about the great performance by the guy from Blue Springs, MO on American Idol. Hope all is well.

The guy from Blue Springs was by far the best on Idol. Lana and I have not watched the show until this year but with the writers strike nothing has been on. We have become fanatics. I think I will join a Simon Cowell fan club.

FYI, we are going to Hilton Head to play golf and bike on April 26. If Jamie is reading this we plan on spending the night of April 26 with you. We will call sometime in advance to make sure that is ok so if it is not you won't have to leave town.

The girls or on Idol tonight.
